Sir Robert Bryson Hall II
New Noun: Logic
Sir Robert Bryson Hall II
Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, aka Bobby, aka Logic, is a fascinating person.
I fell down a bit of a rabbit hole last week after listening to this Simon Sinek interview:
He had an exceptionally difficult childhood in Maryland.
Dropped out of high school.
Released his first mix tape at 19.
Which got him opening for people like Pitbull, Method Man and Ludacris.
And then went on to release nine studio albums, write a book and is currently finalizing a film he wrote, produced, and directed.
His song 1-800-273-8255, named for the suicide hotline phone number, was nominated for two Grammys.
More importantly, in the weeks following the song’s release, calls to the hotline increased by 27%.
If you just want a music rec, I would check out Homicide below
OH AND IF YOU’RE WONDERING, HE ISN’T A KNIGHT. “SIR” IS JUST PART OF HIS BIRTH NAME.
DAD, I KNOW YOU SUBSCRIBE TO THIS. YOU COULD HAVE NAMED ME SIR ZACH.
be good
