NEW NOUN: Final Press V2
immersionBrew_final_v2.coffee
I really like coffee.
The above is the apparent shrine to Fellow I have put together over the last few years. The most notable addition is the Aiden that just came out (on the left). I’ll write another email about that bad boy sometime soon.
But today’s email is about a naming faux pas.
A few years ago a company based out of California launched a little Kickstarter for the FinalPress. A weird single cup, immersion, tea basket brewer thing designed to be super portable.
It’s basically a steeping basket with a little springloaded press.
Seems a little annoying to clean.
Only make a single small cup of coffee in the ~4 minutes it takes to brew.
But it’s well designed, looks good sitting on your desk and seems to make a decent cup of joe. The lack of filters makes it a little more environmentally friendly, which is nice.
But, like I said, I am sending this today because they did something that made the graphic designer in me laugh when it popped across my feed this weekend.
They named it the FinalPress.
Which I get, because you do one final press to get all that juicy goodness out.
(and also squeeze a lot of silt through that 200 micron stainless filter????)
But.
Then they made a new one.
And named it FinalPress V2.
If it was so final. Why V2.

Anyone out there have one?
be good
